~About the Pendant~
This sterling silver T-Bird pendant is inspired by a vintage Native American design. It is hand stamped with traditional Southwestern, imported stamps and set with an 6 x 9mm teardrop Candelaria  turquoise stone.  
 
The pendant measures 2.6 x 3.6 cm. The patterned bail (the bit the chain goes through)  has a 9mm diameter. 
 
~About the Chain~
The t-bird comes with a medium 18 inch twisted link chain, or choose to order the pendant without a chain if you already have one you love!
 
~About The T-bird~
The symbol of the thunderbird originated in Native American mythology. T-birds' enormous, flapping wings were thought to cause thunder and their eyes were said to flash lightning. Have one of these powerful, protective spirits watch over you. But watch what you do as they can be vengeful too!
 
~About Turquoise~
Turquoise has been known to represent power, status, luxury and protection for thousands of years. It ​is an opaque mineral that has a beautiful blueish-green hue, but other variations exist such as white, light blue, yellowish-green and a copper colour. All of these colours together represent the hues of the earth, which is one reason it is prized so highly by the Native Americans, who see it as a holy stone and bringer of good fortune.
Candelaria turquoise comes from Mineral County, Nevada. It is considered a collectable Turquoise due to its rarity and gem grade quality. Candelaria Turquoise is usually a bright blue colour, often with a black or brown matrix.
